Nutrition

What you eat, the quality and quantity of foods in your diet impact greatly on your health and wellbeing. In any given disease state or condition, dietary changes and nutrition supplementation can aid healing and help to alleviate symptoms.

My methodology in diet therapy is not about prescribing a specific diet with strict rules that are difficult and expensive to follow. The focus is on food education that is tailor-made to each individuals needs, making small, realistic and sustainable changes that are good for you, your family and mother earth. Nutrition supplementation can also be used in certain conditions to address micronutrient deficiencies and imbalances.

In some circumstances additional testing may be required to gain more insight into what is causing your symptoms. Through NutriPath Integrative Pathology Services I can order a variety of tests to check for SIBO, dysbiosis, parasites, food allergies and hormone imbalances. In some cases, it is necessary to carry out testing via referral to your GP. Once we have the results, I can help you make the necessary dietary changes and prescribe the appropriate digestive supplements or herbs (if required).
